DAYS 8 & 9

DAY 8—Wednesday May 24

            Today was another big day we had all been looking forward to because of the premiere of The Beguiled. We had been saying that we would put all of our begging energy into this one premiere because it would be worth it. So here we go. As today was another “slow day,” we took it easy. We begged for a little bit outside of the palais but we needed food to save us, so we got some pizza and then continued on our begging spree. We changed into our gowns and then changed locations to the “last minute” entrance in hopes of finding those last few tickets. We probably stood for 2 hours and then Lily and her friend walk by. Her friend has a ticket and gives it to me! I was thrilled and relieved. Then the tickets start coming in and actually everyone ends up getting one! Then. I look down and the ticket I have is for the wrong time. Goodbye. Its fine im fine I don’t want to talk about it. They all go in and I head to the Majestic for a drink. Pt 2 Feeling boujee. I get a call from Kate and everyone, and none of them ended up getting into the premiere even though they had tickets because so many celebrities showed up uninvited. Kind of a “waste” of a day, but we got a story out of it? When we all got back to JLP Paige Shelby Kelly and Caitlin came to our room and we made our pasta and hung out. Good timez.

DAY 9—Thursday May 25

            Because we pretty much wasted yesterday begging for the beguiled, we got an early start to the festival. We wanted to catch the premiere of Netflix’s Bushwick (with Brittany Snow), so we headed to the Marriot. There was probably thousands of people waiting in line for this premiere, so we lost another one. We weren’t going to let this day go to waste again, so we run to the palais to beg last minute for the noon showing of Good Time with Robert Pattinson. After this, we headed to Olympia to finally see The Beguiled after a day of failure. Then Kate and I headed to the Irish Pub after this and then Shelby Kennedy and Ty met up with us there. Good food and beer but we waited like and hour for our check! We all got tickets within a few minutes! Wow the score of this movie though. We headed back to JLP and then headed back to Cannes later to watch them walk the red carpet for the premiere of Good Time. Rob Pattinson is beautiful. Then, we headed to the Majestic and hung out in the back for a while (Me Ty Shelby Sara Kate). We needed wifi to call the Uber back, so of course we headed to the Majestic. This was one of the peaks: a guard walked into the lobby to notify us that our Uber was here. We walk out and our Mercedes van Uber is waiting for us in the circle of the hotel! Awesome. We get in pretending like were famous and go on our way.
